As a response to the Supreme Court’s overturn of Roe v. Wade, we were determined to produce a virtual streamed multimedia production of Paula Kamen’s play JANE: ABORTION AND THE UNDERGROUND.

This production is a fundraiser for WRRAP (Women’s Reproductive Rights Assistance Program), for which all ticket sales and donations will go directly to the continuing work of WRRAP.

The Women’s Reproductive Rights Assistance Project, established in 1991 and headquartered in Los Angeles, is the only independent 501 (c) 3 abortion fund that provides urgently needed financial assistance, on a national level, to those seeking abortion or emergency contraception. They also have a new program to fund abortion pills by mail which includes cost of televisit, pills and shipping. And, we have over 700 clinics, doctors, and hospitals that we work with across the United States.

Schoenback, acting as the production’s director, decided that this virtual production had to be something beyond what is usually expected of streamed theatre. We have brought together a company of talented individuals from across the United States with the goal of expanding the vision of virtual theatre to bring you a multimedia production of this poignant story.      ​
